Scenes from the Weekend

I feel like I haven't blogged for so long. I thoroughly enjoyed my extra long weekend for the Thanksgiving holiday. I wish it could have kept going. It was warm, cozy, and full of people I love, cooking, and lots of long naps. Then Monday showed up and nearly knocked me off my feet! I'm not used to 12 hour days anymore!

Here are some sweet moments from our weekend (but really, all of last week.)

I enjoyed finally having time to cook again, and making simple but delicious dishes each night leading up to Thanksgiving.

After months of dreaming, we finally put up the trees in our bedroom!

And my new mirror.

I wore my watch all weekend, and loved that I hardly used it at all! We went at our own pace. I didn't do any work from Wednesday to Monday. It was glorious.

The pies I made. Blueberry Cream, Chocolate Silk (this one's healthy!) and Pumpkin Cheesecake.

And when the Pumpkin Cheesecake didn't set up enough, we ate it for breakfast the next two days. It makes an excellent apple dip.

Christmas started making an appearance. I know I know, it's actually been showing since about September, but I've ignored it til now. Over the weekend, I compiled my ultimate Christmas playlist, went downtown to see the lights, and started planning this year's decorations and gifts. I'm embracing it and am now fully in the holiday spirit.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, whatever you were doing!
