Fireworks

Every few minutes, we hear huge popping noises outside our apartment. I rush to the window, to see huge fireworks going off. I call Seth over, but he keeps getting there right as they end. This happens over and over. Poor Seth. I don't know where they are coming from, but they are beautiful.

This is getting me so excited for our trip! On Friday morning, we are going to Seattle. I can't wait for the amazing firework shows we'll see there. I keep having to remind myself, it's only Monday...

More Inspiration

I've made a decision. Next week, after we get back from our little trip, I am going to have a bedroom overhaul. Do some DEEP cleaning, figure out better organization to create a more restful, less cluttered space, incorporate some color. I'm excited.

This photo inspires me. I want to incorporate this into our bedroom (especially my closet) somehow. I'm not sure how I'm going to do that yet, but I just can't stop staring at this little dressing room. I want to feel this way about my own tiny closet.

Ideas? Are there any closet or bedroom spaces that totally inspire you?

New Favorite

This is my very favorite nail polish right now. It is the most perfect shade I have ever owned.

This seafoam green is heavenly. Last night, as we were driving home, I was staring dreamily at my lovely nail color and it hit me! This is the color I need to incorporate into our bedroom!

Right now the palette for our room is red, white, and hints of grey/pewter. Even though we have a lot of white, I still feel like the color scheme is too heavy. This color would bring the perfect lift of quirky brightness and soothing coolness. 

I think I'm in love. What do you think?

Fathers' Day

{my incredible father}

This Fathers' day is filled with many emotions for me. It is the first Fathers' Day since my dad passed away, and it's a bit strange. As everyone celebrates the day with their fathers, I was afraid this would be a tough day. But it's not as bad as I thought. I miss him just as much today as any other day.
