Last night I finished my homework with some time to spare! (Oh the joys of the first week of the semester... that will probably never happen again.) So we decided to watch a movie. I hadn't really heard of this film, but it didn't look to bad to we watched it on Netflix.
And... we loved it.
The story line, music, aesthetic, and actors were brilliant. Plus, I have a huge thing for Emily Blunt and Rupert Grint. Who doesn't? I don't want to give away any of the story, so I would recommend watching this. Now. I promise you will be rolling around on the floor within minutes. I was.
Of course I'm going to comment on all of the amazing outfits Emily wore during the film. Just watch it, I'm sure you'll agree with me.
{perfect for a cool fall day. makes me want to take my bike out for a spin.)
{I wish you could see this whole dress. it looks vintage, sculptural and fabulous. this photo does not do justice.}
{she wore this blazer a couple times. I loved the flowy tunic and was surprised that I liked the pleather leggings!}
{the big gold necklace and ombre hair were awesome.}
{YELLOW SKIRT. gimmie! of course I'm obsessed with a yellow tutu skirt. also, she totes this adorable blue suitcase around throughout the movie. this is supposedly where all of her clothes come from. she does re-wear some pieces, so maybe it is possible... I need to become a better packer.}
{under the studded leather jacket was this fun little gold number.}
{flirty little fringe dress, layered beaded necklace and hair pulled up for and evening out... sort of.}
{talk about the art of layering! pink floral top and skirt, blue tights, red booties, brown leather jacket, and feather/fur vest. wow, I would never think of that.}
{I'm obsessed with the birthday party scene. all the white homemade decor, cake, and emily in a sparkly white dress with layers and layers of beaded necklaces.}
{under the white dress were berry colored tights and some rockin' silver shoes. perfect party look!}
{see I told you! the red-cuffed blazer and pleather leggings made a reappearance!}
{paired with a new top and little black gloves. I love this look.}
{I wish this photo did justice to the fitted blue velvet blazer with brass buttons. I want one.}
I found myself drawn in some way to every outfit used in the film. So what did I take away from this? I need to be more creative with my layers. I need to wear more tights and leggings, layer jackets over jackets, blazers go with everything, skirts are the best, and I need to practice playing and creating layers with the clothes I have.
